Rain on the first day of Nautpa: Mercury dropped, discomfort increased due to humidity.

In the first day of Nautapa, the heat of the sun has reduced. Due to morning rain and cloudy sky, the temperature has dropped by two degrees. There is a condition of sunshine and shade in the atmosphere. It was believed that Nautpa would heat up, but due to western disturbance, the mercury is a 1° degree lower than normal. Last year also the mercury had gone below normal in Nautapa. The humidity in the air has increased due to intermittent rains during the day. Due to which the humid weather is making people restless. The mercury is expected to rise again from Friday.

According to the Meteorological Department, a trough extends from northwest Uttar Pradesh to south Bangladesh up to 0.9 km height. The north-south Donika extends up to a height of 0.9 km from south-east Madhya Pradesh to adjoining Karnataka. Light rain and thundershowers may occur at one or two places.
