Exciting news for travelers in Raipur ! An expedited Permanent Visa Center is set to open soon, offering much-needed convenience and relief. In response to requests from travel operators, the Ministry of External Affairs has given its assurance to establish this center. Once operational, applicants will no longer have to travel to major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, or Kolkata for interviews, fingerprinting, and application scrutiny.

The Visa Facilitation Services (VFS) team will play a crucial role in the process. They will carefully examine visa applications before forwarding them to the Ministry of External Affairs for issuance. Raman Jadwani, President of Chhattisgarh Travels Association and Director of Ajay Travels, emphasized the significance of this center in a letter to the Ministry. Currently, travel camps are organized on Fridays at the operators' office, but the new visa center will eliminate the need for applicants from other cities and states to travel long distances.

Currently, the Visa Facilitation Services team handles visa applications for countries like France, Switzerland, and the UK (specifically London). Travel operators anticipate that the visa facility may expand to include additional countries in the future.
