During the journey, three young individuals joined him, pretending to be regular passengers. But when Aniket reached his destination, he was shocked to find that his valuable jewelry worth 4 lakhs had disappeared.
Case 2 :
In another unfortunate case, Poonam, the wife of Kaushal Chaurasia from Rajgamar Korba, had a similar experience. While on the Chhattisgarh Express general bogie from Korba to Raipur, a seemingly helpful young man approached her. He expressed concern about commuting issues and offered to watch her bag. Trusting him, she placed her bag on the top seat. However, upon reaching Raipur, she discovered that her bag had been cut open, and her gold ornaments were missing.
These incidents have led to increased security measures by the GRP. To tackle these crimes, the railway police have launched awareness campaigns and increased patrols on trains to deter criminals and ensure passenger safety.
